I bought the Adidas Adistar Control 5 MJ mainly because I really like the sneaker Mary Jane trend, and I was drawn to the style first and foremost. What I ended up appreciating most is how stable and supportive it is. It hugs the foot really well and feels secure once worn. It may not be obvious at first glance, but there are elastic bands hidden under the straps that help keep the foot in place, which I really liked. Comfort-wise, it’s still comfortable, just not that soft or plush. It feels more structured and grounded rather than “sink-in” cushioned. I’ve used it for both walking and gym sessions and it performs well for both, especially when I want something stable. Just a note: if you’re looking for a cloud-like, ultra-soft shoe, this isn’t it. But if you want support, stability, and a secure fit with a cute Mary Jane style, this one delivers!
