Presenting our latest innovation. This is a concept shoe, featuring revolutionary technology built for Chasing 100 in under 6 hours - please note that the shoe’s stack height sits outside of World Athletics regulations, and is recommended for road surfaces only.

NEXT GENERATION FOAM

The footwear’s unique midsole packs 50mm of Lightstrike Pro Evo foam, fine-tuned and lab-proven to deliver increased energy return to the runner, helping them run faster for longer.

INTERNAL ENERGY RIM

Debuting for the first time in the Adizero range is an internal energy rim – a first-of-its-kind innovation and the evolution of adidas’ race-winning ENERGYRODS system.

NEW UPPER

A new upper pattern sees an ultra-lightweight mesh introduced which offers breathability and targeted support for long distance running.

OUTSOLE

The outsole combines adidas’ LIGHTTRAXION technology – providing grip where it’s needed the most – with Continental rubber placed in the forefoot for additional traction.

#CHASING100 - THE STORY OF THE NARDÒ 100K RUN
Italy, Tuesday 26th August 2025: Sibusiso Khubeka becomes the first person to complete a 100km run in under six hours, in a unique running event powered by adidas. Taking place at the iconic Nardò Ring in Southern Italy and with the competing athletes wearing precision-engineered adidas footwear and clothing designed to enable more speed, Khubeka shaved an astonishing 6 minutes and 15 seconds off the previous fastest time of 06:05:35 – etching his name in the history books.
