If you're after a hiking shoe that feels more like a trainer than a bulky boot, the Adidas Terrex Trailmaker 2.0 GORE-TEX is a great option. It's lightweight, comfortable straight out of the box, and well suited to everything from countryside walks to longer day hikes.
What stands out most is how comfortable they are. The cushioning feels soft without being too squishy, making them easy to wear all day. They have a sporty feel that helps you move quickly on trails, especially compared to heavier hiking footwear.
The GORE-TEX lining does a solid job of keeping your feet dry in wet grass, muddy paths, and light rain. At the same time, they don't feel overly hot, which is always a bonus on longer walks.
Grip is another strong point. The outsole provides plenty of traction on loose gravel, rocky paths, and slippery surfaces, giving you confidence when conditions aren't ideal.
They're not perfect, though. If you prefer lots of ankle support or regularly tackle very rough terrain with a heavy backpack, a proper hiking boot might be a better fit. They can also feel a little snug if you have wider feet.
Pros
Lightweight and comfortable
Waterproof GORE-TEX protection
Excellent grip on a variety of surfaces
Trainer-like feel for faster walking
Good cushioning for all-day wear
Cons
Less ankle support than hiking boots
Slightly narrow fit for some people
Not the toughest option for extreme terrain
Overall:
The Adidas Terrex Trailmaker 2.0 GORE-TEX strikes a great balance between a trail running shoe and a hiking shoe. It's comfortable, reliable in wet conditions, and ideal for day hikes and everyday outdoor adventures. If you like lightweight footwear and spend more time walking than mountaineering, these are well worth considering.

Went on a coastal path walk within days of owning them and they were perfect. Really stable and comfortable.

Comfortable except for the tongue!
Earth Strata / Trace Brown / Chalky Brown
The shoes are more brown, rather than the mauve suggested by the photos. Still attractive though. Quite lightweight and feels good underfoot with what looks like a good grip. However, the shoes came up quite short. I usually go up 1/2 size for trainers but had to go a full size up from usual with these. This would not have been an issue but unfortunately the tongue on the right shoe was very uncomfortable, there is a very hard and prominent bump at the join that digs into the foot and I'm unable to keep the shoes due to this - I've seen a similar review from someone else, seems like a design/manufacturing issue.
