Incredibly light racing shoe. At elite athlete level - would highly recommend these. Updated from Boston boost 5 - similar but better! Fast shoe!

Rated 5 out of 5 by slimtim Nice improvement on the Boston 5
I got through 9 pairs of the Boston Boost 5 so was keen to see how this new version shaped up. Initial impressions after a couple of runs are very positive. I particularly like the new mesh and the lacing in the mid foot which both seems to achieve a more comfortable toe box but also an improved lock down. As somebody with relatively narrow but long feet was a bit alarmed by "wide fit" in the description but thankfully that refers more to offering a wide range of fit rather than being wide full stop. Overall the shoe feels marginally lighter than the 5 (probably because of the mesh) but the cushioning about the same although the toe off feels a little better than than the 5 perhaps because the toe box is a little bit more roomy. Think will still keep the Boston for general training and the Adios for faster stuff and racing but certainly would use this for tempos. Sizing between the 5 and 6 for the me is the same although as a UK 12.5 I never have anywhere to go anyway. Only drawback might be in wet underfoot conditions as that mesh does not look like will keep out any more than a small splash of water.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jmcguckin Every bit as good as the Adios Boost 3's
Note: I've been running pretty strictly in some version of the Adios Boost (1's and 3's, plus a pair of Prime Boosts) since running my first marathon in a pair of 1's in 2013.
After looking for a fill-in for my current pair of Adios Boost 3's for extended-distance training (18mi to full marathon distance), I finally took the plunge and bought a pair of the blue Boston Boost 6's after trying them on at the Akron Marathon Expo. I've gotten seven runs in with these shoes so far and couldn't be more pleased with my choice! Any concern I had about extra weight (less than an ounce of difference) is out the window, especially considering the improvement the 3mm of extra Boost foam (compared to the Adios) has made on my joints, particularly for hill training. As for sizing, my feet are middle of the road in width, and buying my Adidas standard size of 12 US, these shoes fit perfectly.
If you're a current Adios-wearing long-distance runner looking for a pair of shoes that'll give you just that extra little bit of cushion for long runs, you can't go wrong with the Bostons. I'll be back for another pair once these wear out!
